Brewers Lose Heartbreaker in Extra Innings

The Milwaukee Brewers fell to the Chicago Cubs 4-3 in 10 innings on Tuesday night at American Family Field. The Brewers had a chance to win the game in the bottom of the ninth inning, but Willy Adames grounded into a double play with the bases loaded.

The Brewers took an early lead in the game when Andrew McCutchen hit a solo home run in the first inning. The Cubs tied the game in the third inning on a sacrifice fly by Patrick Wisdom. The Brewers regained the lead in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Kolten Wong, but the Cubs tied the game again in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Ian Happ.

The game remained tied until the 10th inning, when the Cubs scored two runs on a single by Alfonso Rivas. The Brewers had a chance to tie the game in the bottom of the 10th inning, but Adames grounded into a double play.

Woodruff Struggles, But Brewers Bullpen Shines

Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff struggled in his outing, allowing three runs on six hits in 4 1/3 innings. However, the Brewers bullpen was excellent, allowing just one run on three hits in 5 2/3 innings.
