About the Senate
The Senate of the Philippines is the upper house of the bicameral legislature of the Philippines. It is composed of 24 senators who are elected to six-year terms. The Senate is responsible for passing laws, approving treaties, and confirming appointments made by the President. It also has the power to impeach government officials. As of 2023, the President of the Senate is Juan Miguel Zubiri.
